How to Read Data from Weintek Panel


As shown above, it is possible to read values ​​directly from the Weintek panel that supports Modbus TCP communication. After the data is read, it can be recorded, analyzed and sent to the cloud.
In this tutorial, we will connect to a Fatek PLC over Weintek panel.

Required Hardware List

  • SMX-RNS02
  • Fatek FBs-10Mat2-AC
  • Weintek MT8071iP Panel
  • 24V Power Supply
  • Ethernet Cable (1m)

Required Software

  • SX-Client (www.simplinx.net)
  • EasyBuilder Pro

Installing the Hardware

  • It is assumed that the Weintek panel and Fatek PLC is pre-installed (IP assignment, Serial Port, Boud Rate assigment etc …).
  • Connect Fatek PLC and Weintek panel with serial communication cable
  • Connect SMX-RNS02 (LAN) and Weintek panel with Ethernet cable
  • Make power connections of SMX-RNS02, Weintek panel and Fatek PLC (24V)
  • Energize the power supply

Remote Access

Establish a remote connection with your device. After the remote connection is established, the ethernet and USB devices connected to your device will be listed. Make sure the Weintek Panel Ethernet connection is visible.

Open the EasyBuilder Pro program. Create a new project or open your existing project. Connect to Weintek Panel and enter necessary settings for Modbus TCP communication and Serial communication. Test your connection.

Read Data

  • Open the Sx-IO application running on SMX-RNS02
  • You can refer to the related user documentation for the Sx-IO
